BroadCast: Kink & Psychedelics
Kink & Psychedelics: Erotic Empowerment, Expansion, and Connection
Join sex educators and licensed psilocybin facilitators Amory Jane and James Belle Guest for a talk on how both BDSM and psychedelics can help us tap into our erotic power and expand our sense of self and relationship with others.
AJ & James will cover a brief global history of sex and psychedelics and the importance of set, setting, and aftercare. We’ll talk about how to access non-ordinary states of consciousness through sex and BDSM (without the use of psychedelics) and go over safety and consent if layering altered states. They will also lead a discussion on how psychedelics may help us with body image, sexuality, gender expansiveness, relationships, erotic empowerment (connecting to both our own and collective erotic power), and more!
Amory Jane (she/they) is a Sex Educator, She Bop’s Director of Education, and the COO of Fractal Soul, a woman-owned licensed psilocybin service center in Portland. She is also the muse behind Amory.Design, which makes handcrafted wooden sex toy storage furniture. As a facilitator, AJ is guided by the eight ethical principles concerning traditional Indigenous medicine used in psychedelic practice, and acknowledges that psilocybin mushrooms were, and very much still are, spirit medicines for people all over the world.
James Belle Guest (she/her) is an Oregon State-Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator, Certified Herbalist, trained Somatic Intimacy, Sex & Pleasure Coach and Co-Creator of Sex & Psychedelics Magazine. She has been guiding plant medicine journeys for over a decade. James believes that pleasure is not superfluous and to live fully is to be intimate with pleasure.
