The Sanctuary Club is committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for all members and guests. The Sanctuary Club prohibits discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on any of the following protected characteristics:
- Race, color, and ethnicity
- National origin and ancestry
- Religion and spiritual beliefs (including non-religious beliefs)
- Gender identity and expression (including transgender, non-binary, and gender-fluid individuals)
- Sexual orientation (including heterosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, and other orientations)
- Sex and gender (including intersex individuals)
- Age (all adults 18 and over welcome)
- Disability status (physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory disabilities)

This non-discrimination policy applies to all aspects of club operations, including but not limited to:
- Membership applications and renewals
- Event participation and access
- Use of club facilities and amenities
- Interactions between members, staff, and management
- Disciplinary actions and conflict resolution
- Volunteer opportunities and leadership roles
Inclusive Environment Standards
To maintain our commitment to inclusivity, The Sanctuary Club:
- Welcomes all body types and celebrates body positivity
- Respects all relationship structures including monogamous, polyamorous, and other ethical arrangements
- Accommodates diverse accessibility needs through reasonable modifications to policies and physical spaces
- Uses inclusive language in all communications and signage
- Provides gender-neutral facilities where feasible
- Trains staff and leadership on diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency
- Regularly reviews policies to ensure they remain inclusive and current
Reasonable Accommodations
The Sanctuary Club will provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to ensure equal access to our facilities and programs. We encourage members to communicate their needs so we can work together to find appropriate solutions.
Complaint Process
If you experience or witness discrimination, harassment, or exclusionary behavior:
- Report the incident to club management immediately
- Document details including date, time, location, and witnesses
- Participate in investigation as requested
- Receive follow-up on resolution within 30 days
All complaints will be handled with discretion and confidentiality to the extent possible.
Enforcement
Violations of this non-discrimination policy may result in:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Temporary suspension of membership privileges
- Permanent termination of membership
- Removal from club premises
- Reporting to appropriate authorities when applicable
The severity of consequences will be proportional to the nature and frequency of violations.
Member Responsibilities
All members are expected to:
- Treat others with respect regardless of their background or identity
- Challenge discriminatory behavior when it’s safe to do so
- Report violations of this policy to management
- Participate in creating an inclusive environment for all
- Educate themselves on issues of diversity and inclusion
