Do you identify as sapphic or as a non-cis male queer? Are you looking to build or share space with similar folx in the sex positive and/or kink communities here in Portland? This event is an opportunity to share your voice!
The intention of the community facilitated discussion is to come together to talk about what is important to us. Though sapphic and non-cis male queer communities can sometimes be separate, there are many overlaps within our events and spaces. This is a chance to talk about how we define these identities, what kinds of connections we are looking for, what our expectations are, what we want in events and spaces, how we prioritize safety and what that means, and if what we want doesn’t exist, how do we work together as a community and share resources to create what we want?
This event is meant as a starting point. It is not intended to solve or fix one problem or create something new all in a 2hr talk. This is the first step in creating the future we want for our community. And our communities are more important now than ever. It’s time to make them stronger, more connected, intentional and safer. Hopefully there will be many more discussions to come and folx stepping up to keep the work going!
The event is free to attend and open to those 21+ who identify as either sapphic or as a non-cis male queer, as well as strong allies.
