Sanctuary is happy to march in Pride Parade again. Join us. Wear what you feel and let yourself shine.
This is FREE and FUN!!
This year we are #140. We muster on Couch between the Park Blocks & Ninth. Of course, we will likely wait it out inside of Sanctuary (21-up only upstairs) until things start to move. We march in front of the Bank of America contingent.

We expect to roll around 1, but be prepared for a lot of hurrying to wait. Its a parade. Expect the butterfly effect. For every group that marches on time, each dawdler will delay.
MOBILITY NOTE: I have done the march on a mobility scooter due to injury. We roll slightly downhill, so that part is easy. However, you may have to go a few blocks south at the end of the march to get into an Uber zone. Scootering all the way back to Sanctuary uphill was not fun!
Marching is a sublime experience. With all the anti-gay and anti-trans bullshit happening around the country, it is more important than ever to show that no one can silence our voices.
FAQ
Q: Is this all-ages? Yes! March with your kids and show your support. But we cannot have underage people inside Sanctuary per the OLCC.
Q: What is the cost? Free!
Q: How should I dress/behave? Portland Pride is NOT Folsom Street Fair. Dress how you want, but the route will be lined with families. Wear comfortable shoes. Also: do NOT throw things into the crowd. In the past, we have handed out candy & other items but Pride is absolute on the no throwing rule.
Q: What if I identify as (blank), can I still come? Yes! The Pride Parade is about showing support for all gender expressions and identities. We believe it is important to show the forces of darkness and tyranny that every day, there are more of us than there are of them
