Hockey is hot. Rivalry is hotter. Yearning is hottest. And on January 31, we’re turning rivalry into rhythm at Sanctuary PDX. Heated Rivalry Rave is a late-night, sweat-slicked queer dance party inspired by hockey boys, baristas, locker-room tension, and the kind of longing that lingers just a little too long. This is a space to dance, flirt, disconnect from your phone, and fully drop into the moment.
THE LOOK:
Hockey jerseys of any kind absolutely count — pro, rec league, fake, borrowed, ironic. Not a hockey gay? No problem. Barista fits, cottage-core yearning, jocks, tanks, harnesses, mesh, and anything that makes you feel dangerously hot are more than welcome.
THE MUSIC:
We’re bringing the heat with an unreal lineup:
- Ryan Kenney (LA) — our headliner
- Keanu Orange
- DJ NoëL
Plus: sexy go-go goalies roaming the floor all night, and a smidgen of drag popping off around 11pm-ish.
THE VIBE:
This is a low-phone night. Phones are only allowed in our two dedicated photo booth areas — everywhere else is about presence, connection, dancing, and eye contact. Trust us: it hits different.
