**Boundless Rope Experience w/ Class on Pain Management (from both sides of the rope)

Class Description: Pain Management from Both Sides of the Rope
In this class, we’re gonna talk about pain–the good consensual kind–and how to make the most of it. We’ll spend some time talking about the science and neurochemistry of BDSM-induced pain to help us create and curate more joyful experiences for ourselves and our play partners using the delightful connection tool of pain. We will talk about some skills bottoms can use to better manage in-scene pain, distinguish harm/damage from pain, and communicate more effectively to Tops about pain before, during, and after a scene. Tops should leave this class with a toolkit to better manage the pain lifecycle of a scene, create high intensity but sustainable play regardless of your bottom’s pain tolerance on a given day, and better read your bottom’s pain thresholds and preferences. And what would be a Boundless Class without some practical techniques on sadistic rope? 🙂

Anytime during a Boundless event, please feel free to opt out of the facilitated activities and tie in the designated areas (generally the back half of the club).
Bring your rope, safety cutter, snacks, and your water bottle. Dress code is something you can tie and/or be tied in. If you are staying for the event following BRE, please bring something you can change into. Generally, Sanctuary has a ‘dress to impress/make an effort’ dresscode for most evening events.
What is the Boundless Rope Experience?
We aim for:
- A learning and labbing environment to teach one another and explore rope in community
- An invitation to make new friends who are interested in rope
- A body neutral and welcoming event for all
- A sober, fun, and potentially sexy (but not sexual) space
- Embracing all types/genres of rope without judgment so long as practices are consent-forward and mitigate risk of injury
Every month, MxBliss will facilitate a class with the aim of sparking conversation/debate, sharing information, and encouraging exploration. While framed as a series, you are free to drop in at any time in the series. Except for the Suspension Class, no pre-requisites for labbing. Also, a tying partner is not required for any of the classes as most technical skills we are covering can be self-tied.
Boundless Rules:
- All partnered rope must be prenegotiated prior to any play/labbing/scene
- Uplines must be reinforced (reinforced jute or hemp) or synthetic (Posh, nylon, MFP, or other rope rated for marine, climbing, or rescue)
- Normal Sanctuary rules about prohibited play: i.e. No neck rope, breath-, race-, rape-, or blood-/scat-/wet- play
- No mind altering substances during Boundless. The bar is closed.
- If you can’t be kind and courteous to everyone you engage with at Boundless, consider going to another event. Direct communication, setting and enforcing boundaries, and being able to say (and receive with gratitude) “No. Thank you!” are all kind and courteous behaviours at Boundless.
