 us when we interact in a community.\nIt’s a good space for beginners w
 ho are eager to learn. We’ll think about our many identities and how t
 hey shape our expertise\, and the areas where we need to learn and grow.
  We’ll spend some time talking about the inevitable mistakes we make a
 nd the ways we hurt each other\, and walk through the protocol we’ll u
 se for those hard times when we’ve done things that don’t align with
  our values.\nWe’ll center race while also addressing intersectionalit
 y\; and encourage folks to work on perspective-taking from our privilege
 s as well as our oppressions.\nCome join us at Sanctuary\, a beautiful d

 0 and run til 9.\nAbout your facilitator Jimena Alvarado has been teachi
 ng social justice professionally since 2009. She is a tenured professor 
 at Portland Community College\, and earned a PhD in Community Psychology
  and a Master's in Women's Studies. She specializes in conversational le
 arning and her curriculum focuses on getting comfortable with learning f
 rom the social justice mistakes that we all make. She regularly provides
  training to organizations on incorporating intersectionality and anti-r
