SUMMARY:Boundless Rope Experience: Rope Handling
DESCRIPTION:**Boundless Rope Experience w/ Class on Rope Handling: Manag
e Your Rope in order to the Experience\n\nPlease join us for the Boundle
ss Rope Experience ("BRE")\n\nSchedule:\n\n Doors Open: 3pm\n Class: 3
 :30-4:30pm\n Meet &amp\; Greet Activity: 4:30-5:30pm\n Tie &amp\; Lab:
  5:30-6:30pm\n\n\n\n\nClass Description:&nbsp\;Rope Handling: Manage You
 r Rope\, Manage the Experience\n\nThis is the good stuff\, y'all! Rope i
 sn't just about knots\, frictions\, and patterns...it's about communicat
ion.\n\nIn this class\, we will talk about the most basic topic\, and th
e most advance topic of all: rope handling. In this class\, we will disc
uss rope handling and body manipulation (yours and your partners). Rope
is a flow art. And whether partnered or not\, it can be a dance. In this
class\, we will focus on how you move the rope and move the person bein
g tied with the rope. We will go over a few drills to help you build int
o muscle memory some basic rope management skills so your rope becomes y
our partner in movement and bondage and not a distraction. We will also
cover ways to use rope to move your partner and talk about some basics o
f anatomy to help you unlock easier and more satisfying ways to move bod
ies in rope.\n\nIf you missed the earlier classes on single columns\, fr
ictions\, and connecting rope\, come right at 3pm so we can go over thos
e skills again. If you'd like to help TA (and help a newer group learn s
ome of the skills)\, please reach out!\n\nFor those who want to drill or
learn their single columns\, here are two of my favorite tutorials:&nbs
 p\;https://vimeo.com/143109618&nbsp\;(Shay w/ a larks head SC) and\nhttp
 s://crash-restraint.com/ties/66&nbsp\;(Topologist's Somerville Bowline).
\n\n\n\nAnytime during a Boundless event\, please feel free to opt out o
f the facilitated activities and tie in the designated areas (generally
the back half of the club).\n\nBring your rope\, safety cutter\, snacks\
, and your water bottle. Dress code is something you can tie and/or be t
ied in. If you are staying for the event following BRE\, please bring so
mething you can change into. Generally\, Sanctuary has a 'dress to impre
ss/make an effort' dresscode for most evening events.\n\nWhat is the Bou
ndless Rope Experience?\nWe aim for:\n\n A learning and labbing environ
ment to teach one another and explore rope in community\n An invitation
to make new friends who are interested in rope\n A body neutral and we
lcoming event for all\n A sober\, fun\, and potentially sexy (but not s
exual) space\n Embracing all types/genres of rope without judgment so l
ong as practices are consent-forward and mitigate risk of injury\n\nEver
y month\, MxBliss will facilitate a class with the aim of sparking conve
rsation/debate\, sharing information\, and encouraging exploration. Whil
e framed as a series\, you are free to drop in at any time in the series
. Except for the Suspension Class\, no pre-requisites for labbing. Also\
, a tying partner is not required for any of the classes as most technic
al skills we are covering can be self-tied.\n\nBoundless Rules:\n\n All
partnered rope must be prenegotiated prior to any play/labbing/scene\n
Uplines must be reinforced (reinforced jute or hemp) or synthetic (Posh

nd courteous to everyone you engage with at Boundless\, consider going t
o another event. Direct communication\, setting and enforcing boundaries
\, and being able to say (and receive with gratitude) “No. Thank you!
