SUMMARY:Boundless Rope Experience: Lower Body Harnesses
DESCRIPTION:Presented by MxBliss\n\n**Boundless Rope Experience w/ Class
on Lower Body Harnesses (Building Blocks of Rope Bondage)\n\nTie the pe
rson not a pattern.\n\nPlease join us for the Boundless Rope Experience
 ("BRE")\n\nSchedule:\n\n Doors Open: 3pm\n Class: 3:30-4:30pm\n Meet
 &amp\; Greet Activity: 4:30-5:30pm\n Tie &amp\; Lab: 5:30-6:30pm\n\n\n\
n\nClass Description:&nbsp\;Lower Body Harnesses: Tying the Person\, Not
just a Pattern\n\nIn this class\, will talk about lower body and hip ha
rnesses. There are a few styles we will discuss: a 'gunslinger'\, a futo
(or bound leg)\, and a hip harness. At BRE\, we will discuss the elemen
ts important to creating the lower body harness such as risk profile\, w
hat is comfortable (or uncomfortable)\, and the purpose of the harness t
o help to decide which type of harness to chose. We will also cover a pa
ttern for a suspendable hip harness\, a gunslinger\, and a futo if time
allows. But more important than the patterns\, we will discuss why/how a
nd placement choices.\n\nIf you missed the earlier classes on single col
umns\, frictions\, and connecting rope\, come right at 3pm so we can go
over those skills again. If you'd like to help TA (and help a newer grou
p learn some of the skills)\, please reach out!\n\nFor those who want to
drill or learn their single columns\, here are two of my favorite tutor
 ials:&nbsp\;https://vimeo.com/143109618&nbsp\;(Shay w/ a larks head SC)
 and\nhttps://crash-restraint.com/ties/66&nbsp\;(Topologist's Somerville
Bowline).\n\n\n\nAnytime during a Boundless event\, please feel free to
opt out of the facilitated activities and tie in the designated areas (g
enerally the back half of the club).\n\nBring your rope\, safety cutter\
, snacks\, and your water bottle. Dress code is something you can tie an
d/or be tied in. If you are staying for the event following BRE\, please
bring something you can change into. Generally\, Sanctuary has a 'dress
to impress/make an effort' dresscode for most evening events.\n\nWhat i
s the Boundless Rope Experience?\nWe aim for:\n\n A learning and labbin
g environment to teach one another and explore rope in community\n An i
nvitation to make new friends who are interested in rope\n A body neutr
al and welcoming event for all\n A sober\, fun\, and potentially sexy (
but not sexual) space\n Embracing all types/genres of rope without judg
ment so long as practices are consent-forward and mitigate risk of injur
y\n\nEvery month\, MxBliss will facilitate a class with the aim of spark
ing conversation/debate\, sharing information\, and encouraging explorat
ion. While framed as a series\, you are free to drop in at any time in t
he series. Except for the Suspension Class\, no pre-requisites for labbi
ng. Also\, a tying partner is not required for any of the classes as mos
t technical skills we are covering can be self-tied.\n\nBoundless Rules:
\n\n All partnered rope must be prenegotiated prior to any play/labbing
/scene\n Uplines must be reinforced (reinforced jute or hemp) or synthe
 tic (Posh\, nylon\, MFP\, or other rope rated for marine\, climbing\, or
rescue)\n Normal Sanctuary rules about prohibited play: i.e. No neck r
 ope\, breath-\, race-\, rape-\, or blood-/scat-/wet- play\n No mind alt
ering substances during Boundless. The bar is closed.\n If you can’t
be kind and courteous to everyone you engage with at Boundless\, conside
r going to another event. Direct communication\, setting and enforcing b
oundaries\, and being able to say (and receive with gratitude) “No. Th
ank you!” are all kind and courteous behaviours at Boundless.\n\n+Pric
