SUMMARY:Boundless Rope Experience & Class on Upper Body Harnesses
DESCRIPTION:Boundless Rope Experience &amp\; Class on Upper Body Harness
es: Tying the person\, not just a pattern\n**Boundless Rope Experience w
/ Class on Upper Body Harnesses (Building Blocks of Rope Bondage)\n\nPle
ase join us for the Boundless Rope Experience ("BRE")\n\nSchedule:\n\n
Doors Open: 3pm\n Class: 3:30-4:30pm\n Meet &amp\; Greet Activity: 4:3
 0-5:30pm\n Tie &amp\; Lab: 5:30-6:30pm\n\n\n\n\nClass Description:&nbsp
\;Upper Body Harnesses: Tying the Person\, Not just a Pattern\n\nIn this
class\, will talk about upper body or chest harnesses. There are a few
styles we will discuss: an arms in 'hug harness\,' an arms free two band
chest harness\, and a box-tie (or TK). At BRE\, we will discuss the ele
ments important to creating an upper body harness such as risk profile\,
what is comfortable (or uncomfortable)\, and the purpose of the harness
to help to decide which type of harness to chose. We will also cover a
pattern for an arms free suspendable harness and arms in harness. But mo
re important than the pattern\, we will discuss why/how and placement ch
oices.\n\nIf you missed the earlier classes on single columns\, friction
s\, and connecting rope\, come right at 3pm so we can go over those skil
ls again. If you'd like to help TA (and help a newer group learn some of
the skills)\, please reach out!\n\nFor those who want to drill or learn
their single columns\, here are two of my favorite tutorials:&nbsp\;htt
 ps://vimeo.com/143109618&nbsp\;(Shay w/ a larks head SC) and\nhttps://cr
 ash-restraint.com/ties/66&nbsp\;(Topologist's Somerville Bowline).\n\n\n
\nAnytime during a Boundless event\, please feel free to opt out of the
facilitated activities and tie in the designated areas (generally the ba
ck half of the club).\n\nBring your rope\, safety cutter\, snacks\, and
your water bottle. Dress code is something you can tie and/or be tied in
. If you are staying for the event following BRE\, please bring somethin
g you can change into. Generally\, Sanctuary has a 'dress to impress/mak
e an effort' dresscode for most evening events.\n\nWhat is the Boundless
Rope Experience?\nWe aim for:\n\n A learning and labbing environment t
o teach one another and explore rope in community\n An invitation to ma
ke new friends who are interested in rope\n A body neutral and welcomin
g event for all\n A sober\, fun\, and potentially sexy (but not sexual)
space\n Embracing all types/genres of rope without judgment so long as
practices are consent-forward and mitigate risk of injury\n\nEvery mont
h\, MxBliss will facilitate a class with the aim of sparking conversatio
n/debate\, sharing information\, and encouraging exploration. While fram
ed as a series\, you are free to drop in at any time in the series. Exce
pt for the Suspension Class\, no pre-requisites for labbing. Also\, a ty
ing partner is not required for any of the classes as most technical ski
lls we are covering can be self-tied.\n\nBoundless Rules:\n\n All partn
ered rope must be prenegotiated prior to any play/labbing/scene\n Uplin
es must be reinforced (reinforced jute or hemp) or synthetic (Posh\, nyl
 on\, MFP\, or other rope rated for marine\, climbing\, or rescue)\n Nor
mal Sanctuary rules about prohibited play: i.e. No neck rope\, breath-\,
  race-\, rape-\, or blood-/scat-/wet- play\n No mind altering substance
s during Boundless. The bar is closed.\n If you can’t be kind and cou
rteous to everyone you engage with at Boundless\, consider going to anot
her event. Direct communication\, setting and enforcing boundaries\, and
being able to say (and receive with gratitude) “No. Thank you!” are
all kind and courteous behaviours at Boundless.\n\n+Price: $25/$27cc. P
lease DM the organizer if you are unable to afford the event at least 2
weeks in advance for a scholarship seats or to volunteer.\n\n++Sanctuary
is wheelchair accessible. If you have other accessibility questions or
requests\, please DM the organizer at least 2 weeks prior to the event.\
n\n+++Folks of all identities are welcome Boundless\, though the produce
r is a queer femme POC and aims to center the experiences of queer\, tra
