Generation X: Meet & Moan (Estate Planning Special)
May 16 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This is a special Generation X meet up in which we do the funnest thing ever: discuss estate plans! Free!
MX Bliss is a professional in THAT industry and Ours. No sooner had she challenged us to get our affairs in order than we unfortunately experienced what happens when you DONT. Whether you have assets or just a few key comics, this is for you.Â
Don’t leave important life (and death) decisions to chance, estranged family, or the government.
Are you part of a modern family that defies tradition? Whether you’re polyamorous, queer, trans, cohabit with non-marital partners, or simply want to be able to care for (and be cared for) chosen family in times of loss, you deserve a plan for your future. Estate and end-of-life planning is for all of us, not just the wealthy.
Sanctuary PDX and the Legally Bound Group (www.legallyboundgroup.com) are sponsoring this humorous and informative workshop tackling the serious business of estate planning, emergency preparedness, and healthcare decision-making. We’ll cover everything from wills and trusts to medical directives and powers of attorney, all while keeping it real and relatable.
We will have a notary and a legal assistant available onsite to help you complete an advance directive (or healthcare living will) in exchange for donation ($1-$100 to help pay for a legal clinic centering trans folks and SW’ers).
